Padaung

blowing glass through a brass tube

The presence of glass in lighting means revealing, or not, the electrical system. Blowing the glass inside a fluted brass tube and forcing its shape to expand allows the socket to be hidden. The long-necked silhouette of this pendant is reminiscent of the traditions of the Padaung people and the so-called "giraffe women" in Myanmar.
